The guard is sturdy and well made. However I would prefer the guard to be wider and overlap the sides for more protection against falling debris.

So far really like my 30Ton Brave Splitter. While I believe the engine guard should be integral to the machine at purchase, it is a must have. Easy to install and Heavy Duty construction. Foards was the best price and fast delivery.
