Finally able to use the Splitter!

Got the splitter and put it together, but found one of the 2 high pressure o-ring fittings was damaged in manufacturing. Got a replacement sent, but it was the wrong one. Called and gave an actual part number, and asked if I could purchase it locally and get a refund for what I paid for it. Put the fitting I bought in the machine and it started on the first pull. Next day the right fitting arrived from Brave. Foards was very easy to work with to cure this problem. Also the assembly instructions tell you to only thread seal certain fittings. Do them all. Ones I did not do, all seeped hydraulic fluid. Took theM back apart and thread seal tapped them, and no more seeping. I was pretty sure that all the connections should have tape on them, but went by the instructions, which were very good, except for the thread sealing. Very happy with the machine, works fast and it's small and pretty quiet. I figured out how to just get the machine to travel 17inches, instead of 24 inches with a spacer block of wood the right size at each end, now no unwanted travel time at all.

Awesome Little Splitter

The splitter arrived well before original estimated shipping. Watching YouTube videos about assembly helped significantly. Due to schedule conflicts friends who I had hoped would help with assembly were unavailable so I completed the job alone. Heavy lifting was accomplished with the use of ropes and forks on the bucket of my tractor. Toward the end I had one high pressure hose and one low pressure hose that I was unsure of placement so I called BRAVE Help like and quickly connected to Tom in Tech Support. He agreed the instructions could be a little clearer on the two hoses in question. He guided me to a corporate website with 10 photos of my unit and one removed my concern.
So far I have only split about 3 Hickory logs and the splitter has handled each with no problems. If is does hesitate on a knotty piece I just hold the lever forward and wait for the wedge to complete the pass. I have learned on larger pieces, take the first few passes off center to match the slice to the height of the wedge. Works real slick.
Honda engine is one pull start, and I do not use full throttle when splitting, That may be why the wedge hesitates on large difficult pieces. I should have retired my wedges and 10 pound sledge hammer years ago. Foards & BRAVE are a great team to deal with.

An amazing machine!!!

Safe, efficient and fun to use....... says it all! Other than having to put it together.... lol
It’s probably the best log splitter I’ve ever used not to mention the well made components and gauge of the steel frame that houses the hydrolic piston and ram.
